Training search and rescue dogs is a wish that has to come from the heart of every owner, for the best of chinology and most of all to support the civil society for social, humanitarian and educational purposes.International Rescue Dog Organization - IRO founded the "rescue dog" specialty (dogs searching for people under rubble or in other areas, in water, snow or tracking people). Therefore, an international regulation is applied worldwide for the rescue dog training.
The World Championship is organized every year, starting with 1995. The best of the best rescue dogs come to participate in this competition.
It is an honor and also a great responsibility for Romania, and especially for Centrul de Educare
Canina Romania to organize the 15th IRO World Championship, the most important rescue dog event in 2009.
We want to show everybody that the Romanians have the occidental mentality, attitude and culture, needed for organizing the World Championship.
