About Us

despre-noi

Starting from 1996, since the Centrul de Educare Canina – (CEdC) Craiova brought in Romania the international working regulations for rescue dogs, the canine co-operation with the Civil Protection Inspectorate of Romania started, by representing Romania in national and international missions of NATO and EU. Between 1992 and 1996, the Canine Educational Centre has changed direction, moving from the acknowledged specializations (accompanying, guarding – defense, tracking and special guarding) to other specializations requested by different state organs and also by ONG tierces societies and physical people.

From 2000, CEdC has become the Canine Educational Centre of Romania Association – The Forming and Coordination of Rescue Dogs Pilot Centre – the representative of Romania and a full-righted member of IRO. We are a nonprofit, nongovernmental association, in the interest of communitarian service, based 100% on volunteers, rescuers, breeders, judges, dog trainers or with other adjacent activities, with branches in all geographical regions of the country (Moldavia, Romanian Country, Dobrogea, Transilvania).

Since 2008 we have become Centrul National Educare Canina - the National Canine Educational Centre.

On the national plan, the members of the centre were invited to over 35 exercises and search- rescue demonstrations, to many beauty canine expositions and work exams, organized by the Romanian Chinological Association. The team was actively involved in 15 real events of search and rescue tourists from the Parang and Bucegi mountains and in Hunedoara, Dolj, Tulcea, Constanta counties; in the search and rescue activities from Moldova, Oltenia, Hunedoara counties, during the floods in year 2005’s summer and the spring of 2006.

It was the first Romanian school that officially presented training acts with Romanian shepherd dogs in front of the FCI Standard Commission, led by Jean Maurice Paschould.

Since 2000 the team is member of the Romanian Volunteer Contingent for emergency situations, partner MIRA-IGSU, which operates in Romania and U.E.

2009 is the year with a double meaning in life of CdEC / Centrul de Educare Canina - the most important event of the year – the World Championship of  Rescue dog and the celebration of  25 years (1984 - 2009) from the formation and training, in an organized and official medium in Craiova, of the first search-resce dog teams in Romania.
